Arielle Summitt was a member of the Uni High graduating class of 2018. During her time at Uni, Summitt was the IHSA State champion in the 800m run in 2016, 2017, and 2018, and currently holds school records in the 800m, 1600m, and 3200m runs. Summitt also placed 3rd at the 1A IHSA Cross Country State Championship twice, and 9th at the 2A IHSA State Championship. Then, during her senior year, Summitt earned the honors of IHSA All-State Academic Team and Uni High Athlete of the Year. 

After her time at Uni, Summitt went on to Johns Hopkins University where she competes on the Track & Field and Cross Country teams. She placed 12th at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships in the 3000m steeplechase--an event where Summitt holds the freshmen record at Johns Hopkins--and was also the 2018 Centennial Conference Rookie of the Year for cross country. Currently majoring in neuroscience, Summitt plans to attend medical school after earning her undergraduate degree.
