This past week I thought long and hard who should be the first great Will that I profile, and then it hit me: I should start with Wills where Wills started with me.

So here is a list of very memorable Wills from my childhood:

William is a very powerful name.

It came from the Germanic roots Wil, meaning "will or desire", and Helm, meaning "helmet, protection." Hence a person named William is a determined protector, someone who will give up at nothing to protect what he has set out to keep safe.
