I’m kind of crazy about the holidays. I have multiple boxes full of costumes for all different holidays — other than just Halloween. I have light-up pins and springy headbands for the Fourth of July, sparkly shirts and reindeer ears for Christmas, clover-print shirts for St. Patrick’s Day, and egg earrings for Easter. Then, of course, are the Halloween costumes and trinkets.

On Jan. 6 most children in America were done with their gift-giving holidays. Hanukkah, Christmas, even New Year's had passed. But in Hispanic countries the children had yet to receive their holiday gifts until that day. Jan. 6, Three Kings Day, is the prominent holiday celebrated in many Latin American cultures.

With Christmas quickly approaching, I am happy to once again feel the holiday cheer. But one area where the holiday spirit is startlingly absent is my home.

I love Christmas music.

Being almost anti-religious, Christmas isn't one of my favorite holidays, what with the weather, the stress of buying presents, and the always looming temptation of eating WAY too much. But the music, I love.
