College kids may have yet to show up but Uni High is planning a few events of our own. As an added bonus, we have a strange movie that combines every superhero trope under the sun. This looks to be a busy three day weekend! Enjoy it!

The Green Hornet
Now here's a film that's been in Hollywood limbo for a while. "The Green Hornet" was originally announced in 1992 with George Clooney playing the lead role. After nearly 20 years of script re-writes, director changes, and cast juggling, "The Green Hornet" is being released with Seth Rogen as the titular character. My... isn't that a sad commentary on how Hollywood has changed. I'm not that impressed with what I've seen so far. It seems like every element of the film was lifted from somewhere else. They took the basic motivation from "Batman", the gadgets from "Iron Man", Kato's fighting style from "Sherlock Holmes", and the main character from "Knocked up". I'm still holding out a bit of hope that this strange Franken-Film manages to work. Besides, what else are you going to watch this weekend? "Season of the Witch"?
