Going once, going twice, sold! Senior auction success caps off splendid X-Week

After a highly successful X-Week, the school had raised almost $2,000 for this year's charity, the Don Moyer Boys and Girls Club. What do an auction, a giant bake sale, an iPod Touch, and an eating contest have in common? They are all part of the activities planned for this year's X-Week, Uni's annual fundraiser for charity. Beginning Monday, X-Week '09 will raise money for the Don Moyer Boys & Girls Club. Check inside the list of lunchtime events.

Pasta for Pennies drive raises more than $1,700

In just two weeks, Uni High raised more than $1,700 for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society in the Pasta for Pennies fundraiser organized by Student Council. The money will help fund blood-cancer research, education, and patient services. The subfreshman girls raised the most among Uni's 11 teams and won a free lunch from Olive Garden.

Pasta for Pennies fundraiser nears conclusion: Can Uni reach $1,000?

[Update: By the end of school Thursday, Uni's Pasta for Pennies had raised $1,040.94.] For the past two weeks Uni has been participating in Pasta for Pennies, a program to raise money for blood-cancer research and patient services. Eleven teams are competing to raise the most money — the winning team will receive a free pasta party lunch provided by Olive Garden.
