Quota met for Agora Week proposals
Published: Tuesday, December 4, 2012 - 11:48am
This year's Agora Week was in jeopardy a mere two weeks ago when only 54 classes had been proposed by the Thanksgiving break deadline. Now, due to a large number of additional class proposals after the deadline was extended, Agora Week is here to stay.
During the period of time before the deadline, Agora Week coordinator and PE teacher Rebecca Murphy received many proposals. Many of those came in close to the Dec. 1 deadline.
There are now over 150 proposed classes, with an even representation of students, faculty, and community members teaching classes.
The classes proposed now exceed the minimum number of classes needed. Murphy encourages those whose classes are rejected to resubmit their classes next year.
