Fall sports awards '08: Giving them their due

URBANA — Uni Gym hosted another sports awards ceremony Monday night, honoring the success of this year's fall athletes representing girls swimming, boys soccer, girls volleyball, and boys and girls cross country.
Highlights from the season include a highest-winning percentage volleyball team, area goal-scoring leader Dan Lilly, breakout swimmer and multiple pool record-breaker Lisa Boyce, and the 17th-fastest Class 1A runner in the state, Malcolm Taylor.
Girls swimming awards will be given out later this month after the season is over; the team still has sectionals to compete in Saturday, followed a week later by the state meet.
Awards announced Monday night included the following:
Boys Cross Country
