URBANA — Although just over a week still remains before Halloween, the subfreshman class will get the opportunity to celebrate a bit early this Friday night.
All members of the subbie class are invited to attend the first-ever Halloween party held at Uni High.
The event is hosted by the subbie buddies and will incorporate fun activities such as a haunted house, scary movies, and Halloween-themed games like bobbing for apples, as well as a multitude of holiday treats.
Although costumes are not required in order to attend, they are strongly encouraged.
Unfortunately, Uni students other than subbies and subbie buddies are not allowed to attend, but there are plenty of other local Halloween activities open to them, including Dallas & Co.'s annual haunted house, and the Fear Factory attraction in Rantoul.
"The subbie buddies and subbies don't always get to hang out that often, so this haunted house is going to be a really enjoyable, relaxed way for us to have fun together," said senior Lor Sligar, one of the subbie buddies who helped organize the event.
"Also, it'll obviously help the subbies bond within their class."
The party begins at 7 p.m. and will last until 9.
