TONIGHT'S VARSITY GIRLS basketball game between Uni High and Normal Calvary Baptist Academy has been canceled. Athletic Director Sally Walker made the announcement in a schoolwide e-mail sent shortly before 3 p.m.

The game — the final home contest for the girls this season — will be played Friday if at all possible, Walker said in her message.

Weather permitting, the schedule for Friday at Kenney Gym will be:

• 5 p.m. — Uni boys JV vs. Normal Calvary
• 6:20 p.m. — Uni girls varsity vs. Normal Calvary (Senior Night ceremonies prior to start)
• 8 p.m. — Uni boys varsity vs. Normal Calvary

As of 4 this afternoon, tonight's regional championship game between the Uni subfreshman boys and St. Matthew is still on. The game is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. at St. Matthew School, 1307 Lincolnshire Drive, Champaign.
