The greatest Dane at warp speed

Looking into architecture programs, I have been puzzled by a study abroad program in Denmark, offered by some. A venture to Rome is obvious, London too, but Copenhagen? After happening upon a talk by Bjarke Ingels, I realized I couldn’t be more uninformed.
Copenhagen is actually at the cutting edge of design, and I’m not talking Lego. It's been crowned the world's most livable city and has one of the happiest populations in the world.
Many American cities have become shabby and antiquated and in dire need of renovation and a commitment to sustainable living. Even though the scale between Copenhagen and American cities is vastly different, it is necessary that American urban planners and architects take note of the successes in Copenhagen — a city where people can and do safely swim in the harbor. (Which other city can claim that?)
I suppose it is not a surprise that Copenhagen is also home to Bjarke Ingels, a relatively young newcomer to eco architecture and my current hero.
Take a few minutes and look at his humorous and fast-paced and engaging presentation on architecture. It will make your day.
