Blog: The cicadas are coming
Published: Sunday, May 8, 2011 - 12:45pm
Buy some earplugs. Block your window seams and the cracks under your doors. They're coming.
Yes, in just a couple of weeks, after a few more warm days, it will be too loud to go outside. At night you will toss and turn, trying to block out the sound. It will be unforgettable.
5 silly things to do before you graduate
Published: Thursday, May 5, 2011 - 3:17pm
Hey y'all. I'm sure nobody even needs me to remind them, but seniors officially have 11 more days of school. Since graduation is almost upon us, it's nice to supply troublemakers with some ideas to wreak havoc on the school since, well, we're graduating!
Blog: Contacts Compromised
Published: Friday, April 29, 2011 - 3:32pm
One of my favorite things about living in the age of information technology is the contact. No, not the lenses I precariously stick to my corneas every morning, but the little snippets of information that tell me how to get in-touch with anyone.
Blog: Girl Talk
Published: Friday, April 29, 2011 - 3:23pm
Recently (but before he performed at the Canopy Club), I discovered Greg Gillis, known to his fans as Girl Talk. Girl Talk is an interesting and innovative artist who has been around for awhile; he creates mashup remixes by combining samples of many songs in a way that blends them into a seamless whole.

Since we had no school this past Friday, my mother and I decided to join one of her friends in volunteering our time. We spent two and a half hours at the New Covenant Fellowship of Champaign, Illinois helping out in their daily (Monday to Friday) soup kitchen. From 10 a.m.

Blog: Have you made the most of your Uni experience?
Published: Tuesday, April 26, 2011 - 3:12pm
Uni offers some truly special opportunities, and I hope that before everyone graduates they can experience as many of them as possible. Here's my list:
1. Get to know all your classmates
Be friendly enough to have had a real conversation with everyone in the class--you could make a connection, learn something new, or at least know that you tried.
Blog: Eunjung's elusive mind
Published: Thursday, April 21, 2011 - 3:37pm
Here I am sitting in the Mac Lab. Just doing some journalism work and minding my own business. Then this boisterous voice looms over the music coming out of my headphones and starts rambling and rambling. I have no idea what she is saying and I don't feel like it's directed at me but I feel like I should be courteous enough to listen.

The other day my friend and I went to Bevande to get hot chocolate. This was my first time visiting there this year. When the cashier asked me what size I wanted for my hot chocolate, I looked up at the menu. What did I expect to see? Small, Medium, and Large. What did I see? Grande, Media, Piccola.
Blog: 110 down, 255 to go
Published: Thursday, April 21, 2011 - 3:04pm
My challenge to write 365 poems, one for each day of the year, has been successful for 110 days. That's right, I've written 110 poems, and, fortunately, I've followed all the rules I set in my first blog about this.

Blog: Mac vs. PC, Part 2
Published: Friday, April 15, 2011 - 3:44pm
Ordinarily, I would have never considered writing a blog about the debate between Macs and PCs. I am pretty indifferent to the kind of computer that I'm using, as long as it's working well. That's why I sometimes get irritated when people get into heated discussions about which computer is better.
Blog: Mac vs. PC
Published: Friday, April 15, 2011 - 3:40pm
The Macs vs. PCs debate has been one of the most popular debates (at least for me) for the past 5 years. I'll come right out and say it, I love PCs. I'm somewhat indifferent to Macs though.
Blog: A new way of looking at classical music
Published: Tuesday, April 12, 2011 - 8:18pm
In this day and age, there are a lot of people who think classical music is boring. I hate to admit it but I am one of those people.

Blog: What? NPR isn't biased!
Published: Thursday, April 7, 2011 - 2:56pm
For the past few weeks, I've been following the story of the bill that passed the House of Representatives on March 17 that would cut funding for National Public Radio (NPR) and Public Broadcasting Service (PBS).
Blog: Mixing with Willio

I have always been interested in music. Be it classical pieces by Bach or Mozart or current day hits, such as Katy Perry's "Fireworks", anything really floats my boat. When people ask me what kind of music I like to listen to I will respond, "Anything you put on I will end up enjoying!"
