Bikinis and dancing: Everything a reality show needs

Reality shows are pretty much the most-watched shows today. It is one of the few ways that we can see “normal” people doing outrageous things and make fun of or support them without any fear of backlash. It is drama that you see played out every week, try to predict, and can supposedly at least partially control.
The reality shows that I would say I follow pretty closely are “America’s Best Dance Crew” and “Beauty and the Geek.” Even if I don’t catch the episodes on TV, I make sure to look them up online.
Recently, though, I find myself getting more and more tired of the reality shows that are all about girls in practically no clothing getting into fights with each other. It’s the reason I have firmly decided to never watch another episode of “America’s Next Top Model” and “Girlicious.”
However, this season of “Beauty and the Geek” is really starting to frustrate me, and there have only been three episodes. This season, they decided to put the beauties up against the geeks, and I was shocked. It ruined the point of the show in my opinion, and I was sick of all the girls fighting with each other.
I really liked all of the guys working together, especially when they had to come up with something to do at a talent show and they all performed their unique skills to a song they composed.
The beauties, however, disappointed me. They fought over what talents they should do, and deciding they had none tried to come up with a dance routine. When they realized they were not choreographers, they put on bikinis and flirted with the guys. Not all of them got in on the fun, though. Some of them stayed in a room to spy on the others and make snide comments behind their backs.
At the end of the second episode, I was glad to see the most vocally critical girl go home. All I want is for the girls to work together and stop splitting up while the geeks get closer. I really hope that the beauties realize that flirting with the boys in tiny clothing or bikinis is not going to save them in an experiment where they are supposed to grow personally.
After the voting off of my favorite dance crew and the ruining of the structure of my other favorite reality show, I just want to say: I want the good old days back, where Kaba Modern danced their hearts out and beauties and geeks worked together.

I also miss Break Skate [or however you misspell it]. They were cool.
And I'll keep watching ANTM, because the pictures they take [that you see in the judging room] are so freakin' cool.
