Want a different H1N1 vaccine? Eggsactly!
Published: Friday, October 30, 2009 - 5:28pm
After a seriously sick (ill, not demented) couple of weeks here at school, Uni is finally getting the H1N1 vaccine.
Spice up your school day!

It's been repeated so many times throughout this newspaper that I almost feel guilty saying it again, but five years is a very long time. Granted, Uni's gotten better, at least it has for me.
Theater, kind of?
Published: Thursday, April 23, 2009 - 5:49pm
I have never been a “theater kid.” I mean, I’ve always liked READING plays. But I only enjoy watching plays if they are either very good or very short. Or if I know the people who are acting. Something about the whole process has never really clicked with me the way some people are just instinctively drawn to it.
Valentine's Day, the right way!
Published: Thursday, February 12, 2009 - 2:03am
When I was in kindergarten, my teacher sent a note home in February explaining to our parents that we could give Valentine’s Day cards to either all the girls in our class, all the boys in our class, or everyone in our class, but we were not, under any circumstances, allowed to give out cards based on whether or not we actually liked people.
Inauguration 2009: Suppressing my cynical side

Do you believe the hype?
Today we in America welcome a new President, a new administration, and hopefully a new attitude.
But I worry how much of our self-perception as Americans will remain.
Enlightenment and extracurriculars
Published: Tuesday, November 11, 2008 - 11:57pm
A few hours ago at basketball practice a thought occurred to me. It's a problem in the lives of some extracurricularly-loaded-Uni-students-who-clearly-need-to-go-find-actual-problems: activities you enjoy, but aren't particularly good at.
Two weeks of torture
Published: Monday, October 20, 2008 - 9:03pm
I’d like to start out by saying that I normally like to at least try and follow politics and current events, as part of being a semi-informed citizen and all of that. But with two weeks left before everyone (by which I mean 35 percent of non-felon citizens over age 18 or whatever) goes off to vote, I’ve reached my limit, I have to say:
I want this election to be over.
I'll cope with your mechanism!
Published: Tuesday, September 30, 2008 - 7:35pm
A lot of these blog entries are about stress. And I don’t know anyone who would have the audacity to claim that the Uni experience can’t at times be quite … overwhelming.
So rather than doing anything logical, like trying to examine the root of the problems, I am going to take this space and medium to explore different COPING MECHANISMS! Yeah!!!

Sarah Palin and the glass ceiling
Published: Tuesday, September 2, 2008 - 11:16pm
Dear Sarah Palin,
Years spent on developing a fake and overexaggerated Southern accent still have not prepared me for the words I would like to say in it: YOU DON’T REPRESENT ME!
Saying sayonara to somewhat stress-free "s" years
Published: Wednesday, May 21, 2008 - 9:12pm
Someone once told me that at Uni “s years are easier” — “s” years being subbie, sophomore, and senior years.
In my experience, that advice has been true so far. My subbie year was somewhat predictably the easiest one I encountered at this school, and also allowed time to meet new people and have fun occasionally.
What is super underrated daytime TV?

Game shows are almost always inane, often corny, and rarely do they require skill. Just look at "Family Feud." Actually, please don’t look at "Family Feud," unless you like migraines.
Pass over unpleasant holidays
Published: Wednesday, April 23, 2008 - 9:25pm
Since the year is drawing to a close, I promised former Uni student Ishan Desai-Gellar that I would write at least one ridiculous "Hey look, I'm Jewish!" blog entry in my first year here at the OG.
'Cause I look too good for this prison sentence
Published: Wednesday, April 9, 2008 - 9:49pm
Fans of terrible hip-hop were shocked to find that rappers Papoose and Remy Ma are planning to get married later this month. Not because anyone really cares about Papoose or Remy Ma, but because they’re planning on getting married in prison.
R.I.P. belt?

There are many accessories that have eventually fallen out of use. Either current fashions make them passé, or people realize that it just isn’t worth the effort to wear them all day. The function that these clothing items served is either replaced by another less confining product, or not replaced at all, leaving people to lead freer and more enjoyable lives.
I am SO great

Many Uni students (like students everywhere else) participate in a wide variety of activities. As a result, we all know people who are incredibly talented in certain academic subjects, sports, music, or art.
