One of my many current blog obsessions is "Stuff White People Like." This is by far the most engaging blog I've encountered, and it strays far from my normal read.

Dear Student Body,

Personally, I don't like to get involved in matters which I deem "immature," but I have become increasingly irritated by mass argumentative e-mails sent out by students. Yes, it's subbies THROUGH seniors! I'm not just subbie-bashing, though we all seem to love it.

When the end of the year is near, nothing excites me more than creating a summer playlist. I pick and choose my favorite songs and add a few newbies here and there as the summer goes on. At the current moment, here are my top 10 choices for summer ’09 (in no particular order).

I love Hilary Duff — "Lizzie McGuire" to be exact. I own seasons of the show, and I watched "The Lizzie McGuire Movie" repeatedly.

To me, one of the most inspiring people is Yves Saint Laurent, who died last June at the age of 71. The man was simply a genius.

At the start of the presidential election campaign, I paid a lot of attention to it. This was not because I am a die-hard Obama fan like many at Uni. Rather, I was excited at the prospect of having a female president.

When I was little, like most other Greek kids, I was forced to go to Greek School. I hated it. We learned Greece’s history, language, culture, and essentially that Greeks are the best people on Earth.

The other night at dinner, I asked my parents as I routinely do, “How was your day?” Instead of a simple “fine,” I was treated to a discussion about a paper on the efficiency of kidney exchanges in an economic theory seminar they had just attended.

I have been obsessed with shoes for a very long time. In fact, my first word was "shoe."

Whenever I go to a store, the first thing I notice are the shoes. I just love staring at them! The colors, the styles … to me, shoes equate to a Rembrandt.

This summer I read the most amazing book, "As You Were Saying," a collection of short stories by American and French authors.
