Fall Play 2012: " The House of the Blind"

Rehearsals started earlier this week for the 2012 fall play, "The House of the Blind". This ancient Greek story will be brought to life on October 4, 5 and 6 at 7 p.m. in the North Attic. Tickets will be five dollars.

I crossed the stage last night, staring and shuffling, as a zombie in Uni's fall play, "Night of the Living Dead."

My skin was whitened, my eyes were ringed in black, and black goop covered my mouth and chin. I was a sight, or so my mother said when I got home.

Fall play '09: Cast chosen for "The Miser"

Director Barbara Ridenour has announced the cast of this year's fall play, Molière's "The Miser." Zack Goldberg will perform the title role of Harpagon, while Ethan Schiller and Stefanie Senior will play Harpagon's children. For the rest of the cast, check inside. It's fall play time, and the cast list is up! Shakespeare is heading to 1930s Hollywood, bringing clever lines, a ton of mischief, the always entertaining innuendo, and more stage kisses than you can count. Check to see who will soon be famous movie stars strutting down the red carpet.

Fall play '08: Auditions to be held Monday, Tuesday for "Shakespeare in Hollywood"

"Shakespeare in Hollywood," a comedy written by American playwright Ken Ludwig, has been selected as this year's fall play. Set in the 1930s during the Golden Age of Hollywood, the play revolves around the filming of Shakespeare's "A Midsummer Night's Dream." Students are invited to audition for roles Monday and Tuesday from 4 to 6 p.m. in the North Attic.

It was another successful fall play as the Uni High thespians performed "The Diary of Anne Frank" Thursday through Saturday in the North Attic Playhouse. Three cast members — Michelle Gao, Lauren Piester, and Anna Gooler — took turns last week documenting the hustle and bustle of tech week and opening night. Fall play diary: Opening night!

Cast member Anna Gooler continues our backstage look at the making of Uni's fall play, "The Diary of Anne Frank," which continues through Saturday in the North Attic Playhouse. "I can pretty much sum up the tech week experience in one word: intense," Anna writes. "But, finally, Thursday night was opening night. All that intensity and hard work came back at me in the form of a reward: an awesome play."

The play, directed by fine arts teacher Barbara Ridenour, is scheduled to run Nov. 1, 2, and 3 in the North Attic Playhouse. The first showing, on a Thursday, will begin at 7 p.m., while the Friday and Saturday showings will start at 7:30.
