Top 10 green trends of 2008: Moving toward an eco-friendly world

In a world with limited resources, it is important to take care of what we have. Climate change and other related factors have spurred on the ubiquitous eco-friendly "green" movement. This past year has seen a host of rising green trends as the realization of the direness of the current situation sinks in. Brittany Scheid and Katherine Allen have pieced together a list of the top 10 green trends of 2008.

Spirit Week showdown: Conference leaders Uni, Normal Calvary face off tonight at Kenney

Both teams are undefeated in conference play, with identical 3-0 marks. In a matchup of stellar juniors, both Calvary's Grant Touma and Uni's Dan Lilly are averaging more than 20 points per game. Down the road, this game could determine who wins the conference.

Girls basketball: Normal Calvary falls as Skoza narrows in on 1,000 career points

Senior Rachel Skoza and freshman Jamie Blue combined for 35 points and 18 rebounds to lead Uni past the Crusaders in a conference matchup Monday night. Skoza needs just 11 more points to become only the fifth Uni female player to score 1,000 career points.
