Boys and girls cross country: Illineks impress at regionals, advance to sectionals

Last Saturday was a success for the boys and girls cross country teams as they competed in the IHSA Regional meet. By scoring among the top five teams in both races, the Illineks earned their places in the Sectional meet tomorrow.

As the second quarter starts and we feel restricted by the amount of homework we have now that classes are in full swing, it's easy to forget about the freedoms we do have--access to the University of Illinois campus and its yummy food being one of them. Davis, Anastasio to be honored at DAR/SAR Good Citizens luncheon

Seniors Celinda Davis and Albert Anastasio have been nominated by Uni for the Good Citizen Awards, sponsored by the Daughters and Sons of the American Revolution organizations. The annual event honors high school students from the area for their achievements both in and out of the classroom.

Trick-or-treating guide: times, places, and more

Here's a look at the official trick-or-tricking hours in area communities. Remember that when Halloween falls on the weekend, as it does this year, the hours are 5 to 7 in C-U instead of the usual 6 to 8. Also, keep in mind that Memorial Stadium will be letting out around 5:30 at the end of the Illinois-Michigan football game.

TV shows come and go and keeping on top of them can be difficult. It is often tempting to just watch reruns instead of sifting through shows to find one you like. But never fear, I have put together a list of the top four shows I think are worth tuning into right now.

When you look down the hallways of Uni High during lunch hour, you will certainly see many students scrambling to attend clubs, meet with teachers, and still eat lunch. The faculty wants to remedy this problem with a proposed overhaul of the schedule.

Girls swimming: Uni takes second at annual charity meet against Urbana

Every year, Uni High and Urbana High School hold a swim meet to raise money for a volunteer organization in Champaign-Urbana. This year's meet occurred at the Urbana Aquatic Center on Oct. 13 to support the Wesley Food Pantry in Champaign and the Uni girls took second overall. Check inside to find out more about the meet.
