I've got spirit, how 'bout you?!

Remember all of those old High School movies? The ones that supposedly depict the average American High School where the cheerleaders, jokes, nerds, and dorks all fit into their own cliques. The school where there are no empty seats at home games for any sport and everyone in the crowd is dressed in school colors, shouting and cheering at the “big game.”

I am addicted to Jetman

One vice I have never fallen victim to is the hypnotic debauchery of online games … until I discovered the enticing Facebook application, Jetman.

The second time around: A profile of Steve Epperson

Dr. Steve Epperson will serve as Uni High's interim director/principal through the spring of 2009. But how many students know much about him? Looking forward to Sunday morning

I walk into the building, immediately surrounded by the plush comfort of a warm silence. I can smell the faint scent of unleavened bread, and it combines with the scent of a recently vacuumed carpet to become what my nose recognizes as church. The sunlight falls in shafts revealing the undisturbed dust floating in the air, and I stand face to face with the pulpit.

The new black

When I see pictures of Jennifer Aniston, I think of the television show “Friends.” Sometimes, I think of her (undoubtedly) numerous hours spent on perfecting hair, makeup, and outfits, which allow her to maintain the title of “One of the Most Beautiful Women Alive.” I never ever think of her

Inspired by The Washington Post's "onBeing" video series, Gargoyle staffers decided to make their own series of brief videos that delve into aspects of students' lives that are interesting and meaningful. We begin with senior Jake Seeley, who talks about the Religious Society of Friends, whose members are more commonly known as Quakers, and what it means to him.

Friends?

There's no doubt that social-networking software has become an integral part of youth culture.

Going green with "The Green Book"

If anyone has ever reprimanded you for keeping the water on while brushing your teeth, here is a real fact that could end this nasty habit: If you shut that water off every time you brush your teeth, you can conserve up to five gallons of water per day. If everyone did this in the United States, we would conserve more water than the amount used by New York City in a single day.
