Addicted to shopping … online

Like many teenage girls, I love shopping.

Column: Do you really want to be remembered for that?

The reputations we create for ourselves often remain fixed even after we've left our old habits behind. Lizzy Warner asks: Why don't more students keep that in mind when they do things that will make themselves cringe when they look back a few years later?

Remember me

Uni is always noted as being a unique community: You get to be with relatively the same 60 people for five years. And to some extent this is good (you get to know each other better and are able to form “lasting bonds” with your classmates), but being around the same people for those five straight years also can result in a lot of tension.

Girls basketball: Illineks beat Decatur Christian, approach .500 as season winds down

Uni edged to within one game of .500 Monday night with a 61-45 victory over host Decatur Christian. The conference win raises the Illineks' record to 11-12 overall, 8-3 in the East Central Illinois Conference. The team has just one game left before the Class 2A playoffs begin next week: Thursday's Senior Night contest against Normal Calvary Baptist at Kenney Gym.

Quizilla and you

Back in seventh grade, when I had all the time in the world to do whatever I pleased, I often visited a Web site called Quizilla. I would spend hours taking quizzes that other users created, finding out what "Family Guy" character I am or what lies in the depth of my blue eyes.
