Karen Cooley — Director of Advancement

Karen Cooley (kcooley) earned her bachelor’s degree in Program Management from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Before joining Uni, Cooley was the Associate Director of Alumni Relations and Stewardship for the Office of Student Affairs Development.

While in Student Affairs, she chaired the James Newton Matthews Scholars Program, a campus wide merit-based scholarship program. Since 1996, the program has grown from 15 students receiving $1500 per year renewable scholarships to 150 students receiving $2,000 per year renewable scholarships.

She has been in development/advancement for 14 years. In her spare time, Cooley can be found with one or several of her nieces and nephews.

Pam Curtis — Alumni Secretary

Pam (pcurtis) began her career at the University of Illinois in 1997 in the College of ACES. After spending several years at the College, Pam then moved on to Uni High in 2007.

Pam and her husband, Steve, reside in rural Champaign. In their spare time they enjoy boating, St. Louis Cardinals games and their family. Pam has three daughters, Kristina, Maranda and Felicia and will become a grandma to twins in the spring of 2009.
