Student Council Policies

This page provides details regarding some additional policies set forth by Student Council, especially those that are relatively recent. This is not a conclusive list of Student Council policies.


Clubs

  1. Student Council must approve all clubs and student organizations.
  2. All clubs and student organizations must seek renewal by the end of the school year for continuance the next school year.
  3. Scheduling (day and location club meets) is determined by a club's officers and Barb Gerdes.

Funding

  1. Student Council will not approve funding requests without evidence of prior fundraising efforts on the part of the club or organization.
  2. The funding request form must be completed to request funds from Student Council.

Athletic Rewards Program

OFFICIAL RULES — The "Athletic Rewards Program" (or the "Program") is managed and operated by the University Laboratory High School ("Uni High" or "Uni") Student Council ("StudCo") in partnership with the the Uni High Athletic Department ("Athletic Department"), collectively "us" or "we". By participating in Student council sponsored program, you signify that you have read, understand, and agree to these terms and conditions (the "Official Rules"). Student Council reserves the right to change the Official Rules at any time, without notice. Your continued participation in the Program constitutes your acceptance of the new Official Rules.

  1. PARTICIPATION — Participation in the athletic rewards program is voluntary, and is available exclusively to current Uni students. A minimum of one complete card (with all eight slots marked) is required for membership in the Athletics Rewards Program.
  2. ELIGIBILITY — All current Uni students are eligible to participate in the Athletics Rewards Program. Only individuals meeting or exceeding the participation guidelines for membership in the Athletic Rewards Program may receive benifits.
  3. EARNING CREDIT — Credit may be earned by:
    • Attending a home game or event (one credit per attendance)
    • Attending an away game or event (two credits per attendance)
    • Additional credits may be awarded at the sole discretion of the Athletic Department or Student Council.
  4. PROOF OF ATTENDANCE — Credit for home games and events must be received at the point of admissions for the game or event. Credit for away games or events will be awarded provided suitable proof of attendance. Suitable proof of attendance is subject to the sole discretion of the Athletic Department or Student Council, however, may include: photos depicting you at the event or visual acknowledgment of your presence at the event.
  5. OFFICIAL MARKS — Credit shall be marked with the letters "UNI" from an official Student Council and Athletic Department hole-punch. No other marking will be accepted for credit. Duplication of the mark or its likeness in connection with the Athletics Rewards Program is considered stealing and will be dealt with as a disciplinary matter between the offending party and the Uni administration.
  6. RECEIVING CREDIT — One credit is denoted per slot on the Athletic Rewards Program card. A maximum of eight credits may be earned per card. A card is not complete until all eight credits have been earned. Eight credits is equal to one entry in sweepstakes and contests.
  7. REDEMPTION — Completed cards may be returned to Student Council or the Athletic Department in exchange for membership in the Athletic Awards Program and/or entry in associated contests or sweepstakes. Each completed card with eight official marks is equal to one entry in the sweepstakes or contest. There is a limit of five entries per person in all sweepstakes or contests.
  8. LIMITATIONS — Credits may not be transferred and cards may not be added or combined. Only authentic cards will be accepted; we will not accept photocopies or duplications. We are not responsible for cards that are lost, stolen. We will not accept cards that have been ripped or damaged significantly. We reserve the right to revoke memberships and/or disqualify any entries in associated contests or sweepstakes if we, at our sole discretion, believe the Official Rules have been violated.
