Are you ready for some homecoming?

With no Culture Fair this year, S4BW came up with an alternative: Uni homecoming! There will be football games beforehand and a dance afterward on the second floor. Ticket prices will be $5 for individuals and $8 for couples if you buy ahead of time. Members of S4BW will be selling tickets at lunch until Thursday for the discounted prices.

Win-win on a Saturday morning: Bike for charity, get a day off from fitness

A sparkling morning of pedaling for a good cause awaits you, your helmet, and your bicycle this weekend thanks to a group of charitable-minded Uni students. Time out for a good cause: Down Syndrome Network's fourth annual Buddy Walk to be held Saturday

The 2008 Buddy Walk in support of people with Down syndrome will take place Saturday at the Champaign County Fairgrounds. SSO secretary/school registrar Ellen Lindsey and her son, Joey Lindsey, will be among the participants, while student club S4BW will volunteer at the event. Check inside for more details.

S4BW bike ride raises $450 for A Woman's Fund

Students For a Better World’s (S4BW) Boomerang Bike Ride took place Saturday, making this the third bike ride the club has organized in a year. Proceeds from the ride, were given to A Women’s Fund, an organization that provides services and shelter for women suffering from sexual assault and domestic violence.

S4BW dinner on Friday to benefit school in New Orleans

[AUDIO included] Students for a Better World will host a benefit dinner on Friday to raise money for an elementary school in New Orleans. The event will feature Cajun food, live jazz music, and a food auction. About 120 people are expected to attend.
