Uni team wins ExploraVision contest, earns $40,000 in savings bonds

ExploraVision team members Isaac Chambers, Tej Chajed, Daniel Cheng, and Danny Ge won first place in the international science competition. Each team member will receive a U.S. Savings Bond worth $10,000 at maturity. The students found out the good news today.

Uni ExploraVision students have received more good news. At the start of this week, they found out that one of their teams had won first place in its region and will compete in the final round. Now they've learned that their three remaining teams have earned honorable mention in the prestigious science and technology competition.

Senior Isaac Chambers and juniors Tej Chajed, Daniel Cheng, and Danny Ge have won an ExploraVision regional championship for their proposal to use synthesized proteins in the fight against heart disease. They advance to the final round, where they will compete against five other regional champions.
