URBANA — After weeks of planning and days of counting down, Uni High's third annual Cultural Fair is just a few hours away.
The event will take place outside Uni Gym from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. today. Stoughton Street will be blocked off to allow fairgoers to enjoy the festivities without worrying about traffic.
Besides some 30 booths and copious amounts of food representing multiple cultures and ethnicities, organizers have put together a stellar lineup of entertainers, led by Ugandan rapper Krukid and the Alpha Phi Alpha Step Team.
This year's main organizers have been parents Jennifer Hamer, Felicia Gooler, and Alison Weingartner, and students Rachel Harmon (junior) and Aramael Pena-Alcantara (freshman).
Note: This list is not final; more booths and entertainers might be added.
