URBANA — For returning students, Uni looked a little different when they came back to school on Aug. 20. Changes included the painting of all hallways, second- and third-floor classrooms, and stairwells, as well as the retiling of all rooms on the second and third floors (excepting teachers' offices), the painting of lockers, and a new floor and coat of paint in the director's office.

Uni's renovations cost an estimated $300,000 and were funded by U of I Facilities & Services. Assistant Director Sue Kovacs recently gave OG staffer Katherine Allen a tour of the changes.
