URBANA — On the evening of Friday, Aug. 22, Uni High's first-floor hallway was definitely the place be. That's where scores of students danced the night away at Howdy Hop '08, the first Uni dance of the new school year.

DJ Natsuki Nakamura rocked the place with her skillful choice of tunes, and a range of students from subfreshmen to seniors enjoyed themselves, even sans grinding. Gargoyle staffers Lizzy Warner, Lor Sligar, and Chris Yoder were there to document the evening — and to have a little fun themselves.
