Insult to injury

I've joined the crippled crowd at Uni upon tearing my ACL, just in time for the weather to get nice and for school to get out.
A sonnet for you

If you know me at all, you know I don't like talking much about things I don't care about. So I wrote a sonnet just for you!
"These Are My Beliefs"
Because of all the troubles, strife, and doubt
Such influence confuses many youths
We might just be much better off without
The thing that makes me stand atop the roof
And fill my lungs to bursting point with air

Tall girls don't exist
Published: Saturday, December 13, 2008 - 12:45pm
According to various clothing lines and stores the tallest a woman can be is 5-foot-9 to 5-foot-10. If you're taller than that, too bad, you have to find somewhere else or just wear men's clothing.

Our footprints

Most of us are totally oblivious as to how we impact the environment every day. Think about each activity you go through on an average day. How many times you turn lights on and off in your house, whether you keep the TV on when no one's in the room, or even how you drive your vehicle.
How my prom went

Apart from having the best date I could ask for, a sweet ride, and a beautiful dress, I just had a wonderful time this year at prom.

Outside of my school life, and outside of my life at home, I have another life on the road with my teammates.
What do you do on the weekends? Homework, catch up on sleep, go to Big Show, hang out with friends ...

On Sunday the junior class traveled by charter bus to spend the day at Kings Island amusement park at Cedar Point, Ohio.

After pestering my mom for a few months when I was a freshman, I finally convinced her to buy me Proactiv. And trust me, I was in dire need of it.
But after a year or two of using Proactiv, it ceased to deliver.

Outdoor season
Published: Monday, March 31, 2008 - 9:03pm
Finally, after weeks and weeks of early morning practices at the U of I Armory, it's outdoor track season!
Outdoor season is the biggest reason I love track.
The track team I am on, the girls sprinting team, is most likely the "teamliest" one I'm on of the three sports I play each year.
I want to see the world!
Published: Monday, March 10, 2008 - 8:45pm
This Friday I'll get to see and swim in the ocean for the first time in my life!
Other firsts of mine that I will experience this spring break will include my first time on an airplane, my first time leaving the country, and my first vacation ever.
And yes, I've had to wait 16 years for this.
I SAT for four-and-a-half hours
Published: Monday, March 3, 2008 - 11:03pm
Last Saturday I took my first step for preparing for college: the SAT.
And frankly, my SAT experience was underwhelming.
First off, I have a few complaints. Not only does it begin at 8 a.m., the closest place that was available when I registered was in Mattoon. Mattoon is an hour away from my house, meaning I had to get up well before the sun.
Once

I went home sick on Monday during lunch. A good idea for two reasons: 1) I felt like crap. 2) I had time to watch “Once,” a wonderfully touching film.
