Uni High's student-written and -directed comedy showcase took to the North Attic stage May 15 and 16. The two performances helped X-Week raise a final total of $3,460 for this year's charity, the Don Moyer Boys & Girls Club. By all accounts, Big Show '09 was a smashing success, helping Uni raise $3,460 for the Don Moyer Boys & Girls Club. Gargoyle editor Laura Dripps was part of the comedy production. The rest of X-Week ended back on May 1, but the spirit of Uni's annual fundraiser for charity lives on this weekend with Big Show '09. After a two-week delay, the comedy spectacular is ready to take center stage with almost 30 sketches and video skits. All money raised will go toward the Don Moyer Boys & Girls Club.

Excellence requires time, and this year for Big Show cast members, time was not on their side. The annual showcase of student-produced comedy sketches and videos has been moved back two weeks to give the cast more time to prepare. The production was originally scheduled to be performed May 1-2 at the end of X-Week, but Uni Director Steve Epperson agreed to the cast's request to move the show to May 15-16.
