From the Interwebs

First, happy birthday to Eric Carle's, The Very Hungry Caterpillar, which turns 40 today. Be sure to check out the Google tribute too.

Second, today's big second period attraction, Engrish.com. The helpful FAQ tells me that Engrish is the humorous English mistakes that appear in Japanese advertising and product design. Apparently English is often simply used as a design element in Japanese products and advertising, and there may be no attempt to try to get it right, nor do most Japanese try to read the English design element. Still, makes you wonder about those warning and safety signs.

Happy spring break, everyone! Back in a week -
