Awards time

Even though I had to come back early from the ALA Midwinter conference, I was still able to share the excitement of the youth literature awards announcements by following the "tweets" (Twitter utterances) posted by those who were present. [An aside: David Pogue has some great things to say about when Twitter is useful, and, imho, this was one of those times.] The Printz winner, Jellicoe Road, by Melina Marchetta, was off my radar, but I'll make sure we get a copy. I think lots of folks are thrilled that Neil Gaiman's The Graveyard Book won the Newbery. I would be a lot happier if we had our copy in hand (it's been in "processing" since November, grrr...).
