Alum, librarian, cover girl

Rebecca Bartlett, Uni class of 1998 and adult services coordinator at the Cedar Rapids Public Library, made the cover of Library Journal! "Team Cedar Rapids," the management team at CRPL, was named Librarian of the Year 2009 for its handling of the flood that devastated the library (and much of the city) on June 11, 2008. They were lauded for "their courage, their indomitable optimism, and their deep and strong commitment to uninterrupted library service to the people of Cedar Rapids." In July, Rebecca sent me an update of events, so it's great to see how things have turned out for them.
