Making sense

Author and illustrator David Macaulay has a true gift for breaking down complex processes and explaining them in a way that makes sense. We just got his latest book, The Way We Work: Getting to Know the Amazing Human Body, and I've been having a great time browsing its pages. Who else would call the respiratory system "Air Traffic Control"? The book took him six years to write and illustrate.
