Librarian on vacation
Goes to Boston to see Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix at an IMAX theater, of course! Well, we are going to Boston for other reasons too, but it would be a terrible shame not to take advantage of what the big city has to offer, right? And in preparation for both this event and book 7, I've been absorbed in rereading books 5 and 6. Now, if I could just apparate to Boston.
Thanks to Tinfoil+Racoon, I've also learned about a new library comic called Shelf Check. Like Unshelved, it takes place in a public library. The recent strips have been about the library's cancellation of the print version of investment tool Value Line. Took me back to my early days working in a library, endlessly filing those onion paper-thin updates. No loss, imho.
Wanted: comic artist to do something similar with a school library setting. Seriously, think of the possibilities. Tardies, hacks, harried teachers, students making out in the stacks, lunch duty...

Hmmm, we may be onto something there... we've got good drawing people, we have the people who know how to work a server and get a comic online, and we've got some crazy-- I mean, imaginative people around to write the story. I think all we have to do is make it. Hehe.
he's right... the possibilities are endless.
