Parting gifts

Okay, this is the last end-of-year posting, I promise. But I had to share two gifts given me by seniors.

From Sara, a most librarian-like book journal:

As a freshman, Sara single-handedly revived RifRaf (the book club) after a huge group of the senior-founders graduated.

From Ellen, a wonderful note and a button with the URL of her website:

I do believe Ellen was the first Uni student on my AIM buddy list.

I have the best job in the world.

You say you have the best job in the world, but it is a way better job to be a student at Uni and have such a fantastic librarian!!!

I'm with Sara! The library has definately been one of my very favorite places at Uni for five years now, and I owe you so much gratitude for that. You have also made me begin to consider librarian as a future career choice. Current students are extremely lucky to have you.

Thanks, you two!

Ahh you might want to re-think that "librarianship as a career"thing. No jobs, low pay etc.
