Manga from the heart
Our first issue of Shojo Beat arrived today. The subtitle is "Manga From the Heart" because the target audience is (surprise!) girls. Inside, find episodes from "Absolute Boyfriend," "Baby & Me," "Kaze Hikaru," "Crimson Hero," "Godchild," and "Nana." Sharp contrast to its counterpart, Shonen Jump, which we started getting just about a year ago.

It's very pink, dontcha think?

Yes, supposedly, Shonen manga is aimed toward boys, and Shojo manga is aimed towards girls (no duh).
I think that there is a category of manga for both, but I'm not sure of the name for it...
That is QUITE pink. Oh my goodness (Not to be confused with _Oh My Goddess_).
The Manga Lord is scared of the "pretty" pinkness (I guess it's pretty?).
Shojo is for girls. DUHHHHHHH. And the art styles differ, too. Shojo art is generally prettier and the people are cuter and it's more soft lines and less angles.
Basically able to be summed up in one word: cute.
And I LIKE pink. A lot! And I like this magazine! And Mrs. Harris ROCKS!
