Spring
I was just as happy as the rest of my classmates when we had the snow days in the week leading to Agora Days. The snow was pretty and I found great pleasure in looking at it fall outside while I was comfortably warm inside my house. But I don’t know about the rest of my classmates, but the snow didn’t look too pretty two days later when we were back at school and it lay on the sides of the road, often black from car pollution.
Honestly, I can’t stand winter. Lately we haven’t been getting as much snow as we used to and so winter is just five months of dreary weather when the air outside is too cold so it freezes your insides when you go out. And the days are so short it’s hard to function after 8 since it feels like it should be 11. If it weren’t for winter break and the whole holiday fervor, I don’t know how I’d get through winter.
But at last it seems that spring is coming. Warm air feels like heaven and it’s especially nice to go outside without having to wear layers and layers of clothing. But knowing me, I probably will soon get tired of the rain and then it’ll be time for summer.
